Dairy - esp. yogurt

Hey Angie, Joyce was telling me that yogurt is not the best for me for beakfast. Is that true? Sometimes for breakfast I eat Dannon Nonfat Light and Fit with maybe an ounce of toasted soy nuts or fresh berries or both. I know that it has some sugar 11g (15g carbs and 6g of protien) but is it that bad? AL

No, it is not that bad. BUT, you need to figure out what your goal is: do you want to build muscle? or do you want to lose weight? If you want to lose weight, this is a great choice. But, if you want to build muscle, you need more protein in this breakfast. How about some scrambled eggs (or egg whites) or adding whey protein into your yogurt? Remember, if you are trying to get a six pack, the extra sugars in this breakfast may prevent you from getting really ripped.
